Le but de l'UMSB est de réunir tous les amis des saint-bernards par la même inter-prétation du standard de la race, de s'astreindre ensemble à améliorer l'élevage de race pure ainsi que la santé et le caractère. A entretenir l'amitié entre les amoureux du saint-bernard.
Le but à atteindre est :
a)Travail en commun dans tous les domaines pour l'encouragement de la race et sa santé.
b)Reconnaissance universelle du standard suisse établi, et son interprétation uni-fiée.
c)Echange de juges parmi les clubs membres.
d)Réunion des juges internationaux, si possible annuelle, avec formation continue par des experts, films, diapositives etc.
e)Elaboration de directives et recommandations pour l'amélioration et l'uniformité du type ainsi que la santé animale.
f)L'organisation d'expositions de l'UMSB ainsi que de congrès relatifs à l'élevage et à la santé. L'échange de toute documentation, revues, livres ou règlements d'élevage ainsi que la diffusion de la revue "Barry International" et autres.
g)Seuls les chiens munis de pedigrees reconnus par la FCI seront admis lors d'expositions de l'UMSB.
Der Zweck der WUSB besteht darin, alle St.Bernhardsfreunde unter einer einheitlichen Standard-Auffassung zu vereinigen, gemeinsam bestrebt zu sein, Reinzucht, Gesundheit und Wesen der Rasse zu fördern und zu verbessern und die Freundschaft unter den St. Bernhardsliebhabern zu pflegen.
Der Zweck soll erreicht werden durch:
a)Zusammenarbeit auf allen Gebieten zwecks Förderung der Rasse und ihrer Gesundheit.
b)Allseitige Anerkennung des festgesetzten Schweizer Standards und dessen einheitliche Auslegung.
c)Austausch von Richtern unter den Mitgliedsclubs.
d)Möglichst jährliche internationale Richter-Versammlungen mit weiterbildenden Vorträgen von Experten, Filmen, Lichtbildern, etc...
e)Ausarbeitung von Richtlinien und Empfehlungen zur Verbesserung und Angleichung des Typs und der Gesundheit.
f) Durchführung von WUSB-Ausstellungen, Kongressen über Zucht und Gesundheit, Austausch der Club-Magazine und Zuchtbücher, Herausgabe des "Barry International", und anderes.
g) Auf WUSB-Ausstellungen dürfen nur Hunde ausgestellt werden, deren Ab-stammungsurkunden von der FCI anerkannt sind.
The aim of the WUSB is to unite all St Bernard friends under an universal recognized interpretation of the standard, to strive together for the purity, the health and the character of the breed and to nurse and improve the friendship of the St Bernards Fanciers.
The target (aim) will be accomplished by:
a.Cooperation at every level to promote (advance) our breed and its health.
b.Universal recognition of the Swiss Standard and the correct interpretation of it.
c.Exchange of judges between the member-clubs.
d.If possible a yearly international judges meeting with educational lectures from experts, films, photographs, etc...
e.Drafting of guidelines and recommendations to improve uniformity of the type and the health.
f.Organization of WUSB-Shows, congresses over breeding and health, ex-change of the club-magazines and stud-books, publication of the " Barry Interna-tional ", and others.
g.At WUSB-Shows only dogs with pedigrees recognized by the FCI can be shown.
